Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hardcourt

A revitalized Medvedev won his first championship for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.

Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging season, achieving just one match at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.

Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the top ten and eventually splitting with long-time trainer Gilles Cervara.

Presently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive win over opponent Moutet.

It is his first trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since spring of that year.

The win also signifies the Russian has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 distinct tournaments.

"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Medvedev.

"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child her name was delivered was for her."

The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six title deciders, including in that event earlier this year.

Medvedev's retrieving approach and recurring reactions on the tennis court had prompted observers to question if his skill to play at the top level was over.

Yet the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, supported by an enhanced serve.

He recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, winning 4 of the last five games to gain the advantage.

Both players exchanged service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his maiden tour title, took control to create a decider.

The opponent rescued 4 early-game opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.

Appropriately, Medvedev clinched the win with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to handle a return after a lengthy match.
